A Few of My Favorite Things....

So Julie tagged me.... here is how it got started...

Tanya Purcell came up with a great idea. Here is her idea:Whenever Oprah does her ‘Favorite Things’ show, I am always curious about the things she chooses and why. The best part of her ‘Favorite Things’ show is that she shares them with others! Well, the other day I thought to myself, “I don’t have to be Oprah to have ‘Favorite Things’. I started to think about the day to day things that I have or use that bring me some form of enjoyment. I thought it would be interesting to find out the ‘Favorite Things’ of my friends and family too. So here it goes…If money were not an issue and you wanted to load up a basket of your most ‘Favorite Things’ and give it to your friends, what would you choose and why? During your day to day life, are there things that you use each day that make you smile or feel good? Is there something that you look forward to everyday? It can be something simple, like the type of pen you use or something big like the type of car you drive. I will list my ‘Things’ and then I will tag a few of you to do the same thing. here they are in no particular order...

My new Dell computer. Ryan got it for me for Christmas and I LOVE it!! It's so fast and so easy to use and the screen is so big. It's so much easier to update my blog and download music on a faster computer. It makes it fun.

My Canon Powershot S 3IS Camera. I LOVE THIS THING!!! I'm constantly taking pictures and videos of Preston. It has so many features that I will probably not ever know how to use, but the ones I do know how to use are awesome. It takes wonderful pictures!

My Cricut machine is another one of my favorite things. Although I wish I would just sit down and scrapbook more...it does make it so much more fun to scrapbook. It has tons of cute fonts and shapes that just help make the page so much better and easier to make.

Mango-Mandarin Bath and Body Works body wash. This is the only body wash (not necassarily the scent) that I have found that doesn't make me itch or break out in some kind of rash. Bar soaps and other body wash cremes just don't do it for me. This makes my skin nice and smooth. If I can't find it in the Mango-Mandarin scent, I usually get the Raspberry Vanilla.

L'Oreal Bare Naturale Make-up. I have been wanting the Bare Mineral Make-up from tv, but I just couldnt see spending so much money on make-up that I would run out of and then have to buy again. So, I found pretty much the exact same stuff for WAY cheaper. I love it, it makes my skin look so smooth and it lasts all day.

My 2004 Nissan Maxima is also so great!! It's got bum warmers, steering wheel warmer, its big inside, and its just really, really nice.

and my most favorite thing.....

...Is my sweet, precious baby boy Preston. All I do everyday, all day is play with him and watch him and laugh my head off at all the silly things he does. At night when I put him to bed I miss him, I cant wait until the next day comes so that I can play with him and see what new thing he does next. He makes me laugh, smile, and cry....he's just the greatest thing in the whole world and I would rather have him than all the other "things" in this world.

So there are my favorite things...I couldnt really think of much. Now I tag----Amanda and Kelsey

Just Cause....

This picture just makes me laugh so hard everytime I see it!! I'm not sure what he's doing....just being silly I guess.

Tired Fish

Preston's little piggies and fingers were so wrinkled from swimming, he looked like a little raisin. (thats what my mommy always told me after I was swimming all day too) He had so much fun, he was asleep right when I put him in the car. He was so tired and so precious.

Little Fish

So today was Preston's first time in a swimming pool! (Don't worry, it's indoor and its way warm) He loves taking baths so I was pretty sure he would like swimming....and he LOVED it!!! He is such a little fish!! When we first got there and set our stuff down, I sat him on the floor and he started scooting so fast towards the water, he was so excited. When we got in he would try to go face first and lick the water, I thought it would freak him out by getting his face wet, but nope, he loved it. There are these little fountains of water that he sat and played with most of the time. He would turn around and his face was just dripping wet, but he thought it was the greatest thing ever. He was just kickin his feet and laughing and talking and having tons of fun. In the bathtub when he trys to scoot he scoots backwards, so I thought that would happen in the pool too, but oh no, he was scootin all over the place. He was just so CUTE! The swimsuit he is wearing is borrowed. I need to go buy him a swimsuit now, because this is for sure going to be a fun summer activity. My friend Tonya also had a little blow up toy for Preston to sit in, but the pool doesn't allow them, so that kinda stunk, cuz he probably would have loved it.
This is Preston's little friend Luke, my friend Tonya's little boy. They are in are ward.

Mommy and Me

Just some fun pictures of me and my Prescious Preston...

Dolls and Books

Preston got 2 fat books in his stocking at Christmas time and he loves them. One is about numbers and the other one colors, but they are both so cute with the cutest pictures and bright colors. He'll just sit there and flip through the pages and talk and laugh. He loves having them at church too. Well, 2 weeks ago Preston was sitting on Ryan's lap at church and he was looking at the number book. Ryan was helping him turn the pages, but Preston kept turning back to this one particular page. He would get mad when he couldn't see it, or when Ryan was holding the pages down. And the page he loves is....well, Seven Smiley Dolls....and its the ONLY PINK page. When Preston sees that page he gets so excited and puts his face real close to the book and laughs. It almost looks like he's giving the dolls kisses. And you can say that Ryan wasn't too thrilled about this. He told him he better pick another favorite page or he was gonna take the book away (joking of course). It's the funniest thing, when you hand him the book, Preston always goes straight to that page, and if you turn it he'll turn it right back. He always seems to find it....

Boot SCOOT and Boogie

A little video of Mr. P's scoot, there is no sound because the tv was too loud, so I just completely took the sound out. Another new thing in the video, is his clap. He loves to clap!!

My little sweet boy scoots on his little bum everywhere, and boy is he fast. Everyone thinks Preston's unique little scoot is the funniest thing ever. My mom laughs so hard (her laugh where she wheezes...haha), Heather thinks its so cute and funny, and then Ryan and I can't get enough of it. We have never seen a little kid scoot the way he does. When he first started scooting, he just kind of went a little slow, and now he shoots across the room before ya know it. He loves scooting to the heater vents, doorstops, and everything he shouldnt be getting into. He still can't crawl, but he still gets around. The only problem is, he still can't sit himself up, so when he falls on his back, he screams until someone sits him back up. He scoots himself to the couch, ottoman or anything he can hold onto and pulls himself up on his knees and just sits up like that for a long time. Maybe he won't even crawl and he'll skip right to walking... When you hold his hands while he's standing up, he takes off walking while holding on tight. The other day Heather was over and stood up with him and held his hands and helped him walk and he about took off running, it was so cute. His little legs are just constantly moving. (That explains the kicking when he was in my tummy) I guess it's time to baby proof my house!

Its a tooth...no its a marshmallow!

So this is just a silly picture....it makes me laugh!! Preston now loves marshmallows thanks to his daddy. It's their favorite snack to sit and eat together. (Ryan likes to share marshmallows with kids, him and Brynlie were best buds when it came to marshmallows) One day Preston was sitting in his high chair eating marshmallows and I looked over and it looked like he had a tooth, but nope....just a piece of marshmallow. By the way, Preston still has no teeth, but for as cranky as he is in the middle of the night, something better show up soon.
