Merry Christmas!

Better late than never...
I can't believe Christmas is already over and its a New Year! It's going by way to fast. In just about 2 months I will have a another little boy and its starting to scare me!

Our Christmas was wonderful!! Well, except for Ryan on Chrsitmas Eve, he was sick with the flu. He came home way early from work that day and never got out of bed, so Preston and I went to my parents by ourselves. It was sad not to have Daddy with us, but we still had tons of fun. We ate lots of food, played with cousins, and had our annual Macdonald Family Christmas Eve Program where we act out the Nativity and read stories, and open one gift. Preston was supposed to be Joseph, but you will see in the pictures that we wasn't there. He wanted nothing to do with it, until of course we were all done, he wanted Baby Jesus. It was only Heather's family and my little one, and my cousin Dee this year. So there werent many kids to fill parts, but we still did it anyways. Then we opened one gift and the gift I brought for Preston, he loved, but not for what they are supposed to be. He got Lightning McQueen slippers but freaked out when I tried to put them on his feet. So he just uses them as little cars. Harlee and Gentri were at their mom's until about 9:00 that night and then they came to our house.
Christmas morning was better for Ryan. He was just really tired but we all got up at about 7:15. (well i was up a lot, just like a kid full of excitement) Preston woke up on his own, so that was nice not to have to wake him up. Harlee had been up since about 5:00 and had woken Gentri up. But just like when I was growing up no one is able to go see what Santa brought until Mom and Dad are up, so they patiently waited in their room. Santa did good this year and brought what the kids wanted and they loved it. Preston got the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe and oh my gosh, he LOVED IT! He was so excited and went right to it and wouldnt get out of it to do anything. Whatever he wanted he just sat in and put his hands out to reach for it. It was really fun to see him so excited!! (He can't quite make it go forward yet, only backwards, but boy is he fast.) Gentri got a straightner and Harlee got a comforter set (not too exciting, but what they wanted.) Then Santa gave us some FUN family games too. Then at around 8:00, my parents and Grandma came over to open presents. I didn't want my parents to sit at home by themselves on Christmas and open presents, so I thought it would be fun for them to come out and have breakfast too. And luckily the snow wasnt bad!! In my family we have always opened presents taking turns one at a time, so that is what we did, but it took a little while and I think it was killing Harlee and Gentri, so towards the end I just let them open the rest of theirs. Preston was actually excited about presents too. I think he was noticing that he kept getting some pretty cool stuff so he just wanted to keep opening those boxes.
After presents my mom made some eggs and sausage and she had also brought the best cinnamon rolls ever. Ryan hates eggs and so he made crapes. We had tons of food. My dad had to get to work by 2:00 so they left at about noon, right when the snow started again.
Right after they left we got ready to go up to Ryan's parents house for presents and dinner. We had a fun time up there as well with lots more cousins and lots more food.
Then....a couple days later, my brother Jeremy and his family surprised everyone and came to visit. It was so fun to have Jeremy, Julie, Brynlie, and Kelson with us! The girls, Preston and I were pretty much with them the whole time they were here. We got to play their Wii and other games. It was fun to spend time with them, we wish they lived HERE!! (and I just realized I didnt take any pictures)

Just some silly pictures...of a silly boy!

Santa Claus...or maybe not!

We went to a friends Christmas party a couple weeks ago and Santa was gonna be there. I was so excited to get a picture with Preston on his lap because I really didn't want to go to the mall. The Santa's at our malls arent my favorite. He doesnt wear his traditional suit, he wears pjs and has no hat or anything. But i guess it didn't matter anyways...Preston DID NOT like Santa at all!! When Santa walked in Preston just stared at him and followed him across the room, but when it was time to sit on his lap, Preston held on to his cookie for dear life and screamed. I guess everyone has to have one picture like this. Maybe next year he'll be a little bit more excited.

Let's try again....

We then went to my Mom's ward's Christmas party and mommy wanted to give Santa one more try. Well, this time when Preston saw Santa, he held on to me as tight as he could! This time I had Gentri and Harlee in the picture too, so I think that calmed him down a little, but notice Preston isnt sitting on Santa's lap, he's holding tight to Gentri. The Grinch was also there and that didn't make it any better because he was even more terrified of him. So we just took pictures of sisters and cousin Taylin with the Grinch.

O Christmas Tree!

I actually meant to post these pictures last time, but I forgot and am barely getting around to doing it. Gentri, Harlee, Preston and I put up our tree the saturday after Thanksgiving. It's nothing fancy, but thats me. When it comes to Christmas trees I like to just stay traditional. I love colored lights, homemade ornaments (hopefully more to come), and glass balls. Oh, well I guess its not all traditional becuase we do have a couple Coca Cola cans on it too. When I met Ryan thats all his tree was decorated with, so I told him when we got married we werent doing that every year but that I would still keep a couple of them. I think its fun! (He used to have a 2 liter bottle on top, but that was replaced as well with a star) One day I would like to have another tree and kind of make it a theme (not sure what) tree...so i'll have to start collecting for that.

Preston LOVES to just come in and sit by the tree and look at it, especially at night when the lights are on. That was always my favorite thing to do when I was little too. I liked to go color or read by the tree and now Preston loves it too. He will bring a book and we'll sit by the tree and read it...and then he'll get distracted by the "babas" (ornaments).

It's Been Awhile....

Here are some random pictures from the last little while....

So to be honest, I have just been way too lazy to update my blog. Now that I dont work I feel like I am so incredibly lazy!! Well and after my little trip to Colorado for my birthday, we came home sick. My nieces were sick with what we thought was pink eye, but then found out it was just some cold virus. When we got home Preston got it in one eye for about 24hrs but then I had it for 2-3 days in both eyes. Then my mom got it, then Ryan and then my dad. So thank you to my sister Anne Marie....ha ha j/k, I had tons of fun visiting and wish they would just move here!!!

I am way excited for the Holidays! I love Christmas time! I usually procrastinate with putting my Christmas decor up so then it makes me sad when I have to take it down, this year I told myself I was gonna do it right after Thanksgiving. So, on Saturday the girls and I got it all out and put up, even the tree. Preston was "helping" too. He loves the "ballballs" and the lights on the tree. He has actually been very good with the tree and hasnt ripped anything off yet. Now that Preston is getting older its so much fun and I cant wait til Christmas morning. Hopefully we will have Harlee and Gentri that morning too (we usually dont) but now that we have kids of our own, Ryan wants to work something out with their mom so that we can start switching off years. I'm pretty much done with shopping for everyone, just a couple little last minute things. So now I get to do my favorite part, which is wrap everything! (seriuosly, it is my favorite part...I use to wrap all my mom's presents for everyone too)

Here is a little update of little silly boy Preston. He is obsessed with Tractors, but he is pretty picky about them aswell. He likes green ones, or John Deere ones the best. We have one, but its orange and he still loves to go on rides with Daddy on that one too, but when we are at the stores, if he sees toy tractors he would much rather have John Deere instead. His Grandpa Wendel has a huge John Deere tractor and he got to ride on it with Daddy on Thanksgiving. He was so happy and Ryan said he had a big grin the entire ride up the canyon. He also loves big trucks, cranes, cement trucks, dump trucks, diggers, anything that is a truck he loves and gets so excited about. Whenever he sees them his eyes get real big and he just says "OOOHH". Other than that, Preston just isnt talking much. I try to teach him new things everyday, but he just doesnt act very interested. He can say Momma, Dad, Owww (for meow for a cat), fooball (which he watches with daddy every Sunday and Monday, he gets very excited and claps and yells while watching), ball and he also signs please, thank you and more. He loves looking at books, especially ones with animals, but he just wont say the sounds yet. His new thing is Santa Clause, he likes him too. I try to tell him to say HO HO HO, and he tries and says something but its not exactly Ho Ho Ho, so I'm not even sure how to spell it. And like I always say, Preston continues to make me laugh everyday. He still is licking anything and everything. He licks mom and dads pants, shirt, the couch, toys, the wall, his food before he eats it, and then he also gives kisses, but he now tricks you and when he leans in to give you a kiss he licks your face. He thinks its the funniest thing ever!! Oh and Preston's hair is already back and needs to be cut again. I cant believe how fast it grows!

As for me and the baby...he is moving a ton! Sometimes it makes me feel sick to my stomach...I have no idea what he's doing in there. Of course everyone says I dont even look pregnant, but I am getting a belly and I feel like its bigger than when I was pregnant with Preston. With Preston I only bought one pair of maternity jeans but they were still too big so I never wore them, well now those are about the only pants that fit other than sweats (which I'm always in anyways). So, I think I'm gonna be bigger with this one. We are both doing fine and my due date has been changed but only by three days, it is now March 20th. I cant wait!!

Oh one more thing....I cant believe it hasnt snowed yet, but I'm not complaining.

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!!!

We had my mom and Aunt Karolyn's annual grandkid Halloween party on Oct 25th. There were lots of games and prizes and tons of treats and food. It always is a blast and we have tons of fun and get really stuffed. This year Preston even decided to copy his big sister Gentri and 'bob' for apples. It was the funniest thing ever! Except he didn't really want to go for the apples, he was just wanting to taste the yummy backwash water left over from the other 7 kids that had already gone. Everytime he would come up from the water he would lick his lips and say "yum!" Silly boy!!
Even though I woke up Halloween morning feeling not too great, (my throat and sinus'), we still had a fun day. This Halloween was a lot more fun because we had Harlee and Gentri and Preston is a little bit older, although he still had no idea what was going on. Harlee was a Butterfly Fairy, Gentri was a Angel Fairy(kinda not really sure), and Preston was a little worker(or Daddy). First, we went to our ward Trunk or Treat. I stayed at the car and the girl's and Marimom walked around to the other cars with the kids. A lot of the people just let you pick a candy out of their bowl, so Preston would pick his (a lollipop or twizzlers) and then he would sit down and want to eat it right then. When we got home from that the girls went out with the cousins around the neighborhood and got plenty of candy. My mom and I took Preston to a couple houses up the street, but then it started raining and Preston just wanted to eat his candy, so we just decided to come home. The one year we actually didn't have snow on Halloween, it had to rain, but kids didnt mind at all, at least it wasn't freezing and windy. We let Preston eat a few pieces of his candy that night and boy was he excited and crazy the rest of the night. We now have to hide his trick-or-treat pumpkin because he knows exactly what's in it and that is all he wants to eat. (hmm, sounds like his mother) We hope everyone had a fun Halloween and cant wait to see everyone's pictures!

Preston also got some cool glow in the dark skeleton pj's that his Daddy thinks are totally awesome. Preston loves them too. We take him the pantry so he can see them glow in the dark.

I am now unemployed...and that's a good thing!

I officially had my last day today working at Home Depot. I'm FREE!! After three years I have had enough of retail and am ready to just be a mom! And I'm tahnkful that it is possible for me to do so. I no longer have to wear this dang orange apron anymore, yay!! I keep thinking I'm gonna get bored and not know what to do, but with silly Preston these days, he keeps me plenty busy and with a new baby coming, I'm sure I'll find ways to occupy my time. Now I can actually sit down and USE all the scrapbook stuff that I just like to purchase but not use...haha! (but with 2 kids we'll see if that will happen or not) I'm not gonna know quite what to do on Saturdays now...I guess clean and hang out with the family. That will be a nice change!!
